YAML is a
recursive acronym for YAML Ain't Markup Language.
YAML is a data serialization language that takes concepts from many lanugages such as
XML C,
Python, and
Perl. YAML aims to be human-readable and computationally powerful. YAML was first proposed by Clark Evans.
