W?zburg

W?zburg is a city in
Bavaria,
Germany. Located on the
Main river, it is the capital of the
Regierungsbezirk Unterfranken. The city of W?zburg is not included in W?zburg (district), but is its administrative seat. Its population is about 127,000 as of
2000.
W?zburg is the location of Wilhelm R?tgen's original laboratory, where he discovered x-rays. W?zburg is also the location of the W?zburg Residence (W?zburger Residenz), a large baroque building that is designated a World Heritage Site. It is also the hometown of NBA star Dirk Nowitzki.
