The movie Wild at Heart, released in 1990, is an unusual retake on the Wizard of Oz by David Lynch. Starring Nicholas Cage, Laura Dern and Willem Dafoe, the film mixes bizarre almost supernatural events and off-kilter violence making it an atypical road movie which stands all the usual clich? of the genre on their head.
