The premise of the show was an ex-baseball player, Tony Micelli (Danza), wanted to move out of Brooklyn to find a better life for his daughter, Samantha (Alyssa Milano). He ends up taking a job in Connecticut as a housekeeper for advertising executive, Angela Bower (Judith Light). They ends up living with Bower and her son Jonathan (Danny Pintauro). Also stars Katherine Helmond as Mona Robinson, Angela's feisty mother.
