Trocad?o a fortified position on the bay of
Cadiz in the south of
Spain. Captured by
France on
August 31,
1823 by forces led by the duke d'Angoul?e. The goal was to intervene against the liberal Spanish who were rebelling against the autocracy of Ferdinand VII.
Also a district, Place du Trocad?o, (16th Arrondissement) of Paris bordering the Seine.
