Thomas Joannes Stieltjes (

Dutch mathematician. He was born in
Zwolle and died in
Toulouse,
France.
The Thomas Stieltjes Institute for Mathematics at the University of Leiden is named after him, as is the Riemann-Stieltjes integral.
