The Kindly Ones

The Kindly Ones (a translation of the Greek Eumenides, "kind-hearted") is a euphemistic way to refer to the Furies in Greek mythology.

Several works of fiction take this expression as a title:

• The ninth volume of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman comic book series. See The Kindly Ones (Sandman).
• The title of the sixth volume of Anthony Powell's twelve-volume novel A Dance to the Music of Time.
