The G-String Murders

The G-String Murders is a detective novel by Americann stripper Gypsy Rose Lee, published in 1941. Set in a burlesque theater, the author makes herself the detective who solves a set of homicides in which strippers in her troupe are found stangled with their own G-strings. A best-seller, the novel was filmed as Lady of Burlesque with Barbara Stanwyck, Michael O'Shae and Pinky Lee.
