Szep?) is the name of a historic administrative county in northern eastern
Slovakia from a time when Slovakia was part of
Hungary. Today only an informal designation of the corresponding territory. Situated between the
High Tatra and the
Dunajec river in the north, the springs of the
V? river in the west, the Slovensk?rudohorie mountains in the south, and the towns (including) Jaklovce and Star?Ľubovňa in the east.
Historically a very prosperous region, nowadays a very poor region of Slovakia. Till WW II largely German population.
