South Jutland (Danish: S?derjyllands Amt) is a county in southern Denmark, on the peninsula of Jutland. The total area is 3,938 km². In 2003 there were 253,000 inhabitants.

Northern Schleswig (Nordschleswig) is the German language name on South Jutland, the geographical area covering the southernmost 30 kilometers of the Jutland Peninsula. The area has formerly been a part of the Duchy of Schleswig (also called S?derjylland in Danish), that was annexed to Prussia after the Second War of Schleswig (1864), but ceded to Denmark after a plebiscite in 1920.

Today an ethnic German minority lives in South Jutland.
