Šariš (in Latin: "comitatus Sarossiensis", in German: Scharosch, in Hungarian: S?os) is the name of a historic administrative county in northern eastern Slovakia from a time when Slovakia was part of Hungary. Today only an informal designation of the corresponding territory. Situated between Levočsk?vrchy (i.e. Spiš), Kosice and Svidn?.

Historically a prosperous region, nowadays a rather poor region.
