Russell William Thaw

Rusell William Thaw (
1910-
2002) was a famous pilot who fought in
World War I. Thaw was the son of
Evelyn Nesbit and, officially, he was also the son of
Harry K. Thaw. The Thaw-Nesbit couple was famous for the
1906 murder of
Stanford White at the
Madison Square Garden.
Russel William Thaw had to experience indifference by the man supposed to be his father, as Harry K. Thaw never accepted Russell William as his son.
During World War I, Russell William Thaw became one of the Air Force's most noted pilots, obtaining five air victories, three of them as part of the Air Force's 103rd. squadron.
