The
Royal Shakespeare Theatre is a large theatre dedicated to British
playwright William Shakespeare in his birthplace of
Stratford-upon-Avon.
It is managed by the Royal Shakespeare Company. It was originally called the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre and was renamed in 1961.
