Rendsburg-Eckernförde is a Kreis (district) in the northeastern part of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated at the coast of the Baltic Sea, roughly between the cities of Schleswig and Kiel. Area 2200 km?, population 271,000 (2002). The district's capital is Rendsburg.

The district was established in 1970 by merging the former districts of Rendsburg and Eckernf?de. A large portion of the Kiel Canal passes through Rendsburg-Eckernf?de.
