The prostate is often called the male G-spot, as it a source of sexual pleasure in men, especially relating to orgasm. Prostate massage involves massaging the prostate through the anus by hand, or with a vibrator. The prostate can also be indirectly massaged externally through the perineum.

Prostate massage is sometimes carried out as a medical procedure for the treatment of prostatitis.

Prostate milking refers to the sexual practice of relieving the buildup of semen by regular prostate massage. It may be used as part of BDSM activities, such as games involving the erotic use of sexual denial.
