Penectomy

Penectomy is the total or partial removal of the penis. This is usually done for one of two reasons:

• Penile cancer
• Sexual reassignment surgery (SRS) from male to female (not all transgender individuals go through such invasive surgery)

Less commonly, but still well documented, there many people who undergo voluntary penectomy as a form of extreme body modification.
