Patrick S?kind

Patrick S?kind was born in 1949 in Ambach, near Munich in Germany. He studied Medieval and Modern History at the Univeristy of Munich. He is the author of the internationally acclaimed bestseller - Perfume - The Story of a Murderer. He is the also the author of a play, The Double Bass (1980), The Pigeon (1988), Mr. Summer's Story (1991), Three Stories and a Reflection (1996). S?kind lives reclusively in Munich, rarely granting interviews or enjoying any aspect of his fame.
