Oswald Achenbach was a
German landscape painter, born in
D?seldorf,
February 2,
1827. He died in
1905.
He painted mostly scenes in Italy, and some historic pictures. He became a professor in the painting school at D?seldorf.
His brother Andreas Achenbach was also a painter.
