New Zealand Public Service Association (
PSA) is a large
trade union that deals with about 40,000 employees in the public sector, such as
health care,
education and local government jobs.
The PSA is funded by a small fee that is taken out of an employees wages. Many organisations pay all employees at PSA negotiated rates to discourage people from joining unions.
