K. Eric Drexler

Kim Eric Drexler (born
April 25,
1955) is a researcher at the Institute for Molecular Manufacturing and chairman of the
Foresight Institute. He has written much about
nanotechnology and coined the word "
nanomachine". The Institute for Molecular Manufacturing has a
Curriculum Vita of Drexler.
He originally began investigating thin films a few molecules thick in order to construct solar sails.
