J?k?ing County, or J?k?ings l? is a County or l? in southern Sweden. It borders to the counties of Halland, V?tra G?aland, ?terg?land, Kalmar and Kronoberg.

Geograpically J?k?ing County represents the northern part of Smalandia. The Municipalities of Habo and Westrogothia, were ceded upon the formation of V?tra G?aland County in 1999 and now belongs to J?k?ing County.
J?k?ing County was periodically united with Kronoberg County until 1687.
The main aim of the County Administrative Board is to fullfil the goals set in national politics by the Parliament and the Government, to coordinate the interests and promote the development of the county, to establish regional goals and safeguard the due process of law in the handling of each case. The County Administrative Board is nominally a Government Agency headed by a Governor. The seat of resicence for the Governor or Landsh?ding is the town of J?k?ing. See the List of J?k?ing Governors.

J?k?ing was formally granted its arms in 1942. By custom it used a combination of the lesser state arms of Sweden and the arms for the Town of J?k?ing.
