Haryana is a state in northwest India. Neighbouring states are Punjab and Himachal Pradesh to the north, Rajasthan to the west and south, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal to the east.
The state capital is Chandigarh. The Ghaggar River passes through the state.
