Glycogenolysis

Glycogenolysis is the
catabolism of
glycogen (requiring removal of glucose unit from glycogen and addition of
phosphate) thus producing glucose-1-phosphate.
Glycogenolysis requires three enzymes :
- Phosphorylase
- Glucan Transferase
- Debranching enzyme
