Gemer (in Latin: G??inum, in German also: G??, in Hungarian: G??) is the name of a historic administrative county in southern Slovakia from a time when Slovakia was part of Hungary. Today only an informal designation of the corresponding territory. Situated in Slovensk?rudohorie approximately between the Slovak-Hungarian border, the towns Polt? and Rožňava and the Low Tatras (N?ke Tatry).
