Fan dance

A fan dance is an erotic dance in which a wholly nude performer dances between two large fans constructed from ostrich feathers. The dance is carefully choreographed to control what the audience actually sees. Nevertheless it is clear to the audience that behind the fans, the performer genuinely is nude, and this fact does lend some titillation to the act.

The most famous fan dancer without question was Sally Rand.
