Erotic literature is literature written to arouse the reader, and/or give instruction in sexual technique, typically of novel length. They are a form of
Erotica, which includes images (painting and photographic) and sculputures as well as the printed word.
The Kama Sutra is one of the best known works of instructional erotic literature.
They are not the same thing as so-called "skin magazines" in that they have a plot.
