Digital projection systems project a digital video or digital film image for viewing on a screen.

Digital projection technologies:

• high intensity CRT
• LCD light gates
• Texas Instruments' DLP technology

Obsolete electronic projection technologies:

• Eidophor oil-film projectors

The current dominant technology for digital projectors is Texas Instruments' DLP technology.
