Col? Theater

Opened in 1908, the Col? Theater in Buenos Aires, Argentina is one of the most famous opera houses in the world.

Built with a seating capacity of 2,500 in surroundings of classic French Renaissance style, the theater's design features a rich scarlet and gold decor. The cupola contains frescoes painted by the renowned 20th century artist Raul Soldi.

Over the years, the Col? Theater has hosted such opera greats as Arturo Toscanini, Jane Bathori, Enrico Caruso, Maria Callas, Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti.
