Charles Montague Bakewell

Charles Montague Bakewell (

1957) was a univeristy professor and Republican politician. He was born in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He became a university professor, then a member of the Connecticut state senate,
1920-
24; United States Representative from Connecticut at-large,
1933-
35; delegate to the Republican National Convention from Connecticut,
1936. He died in
New Haven, Connecticut, and was interred at
Grove Street Cemetery.
