Carvin is a chief town of canton in northern
France, in

Pas-de-Calais (zone 62), arondissement of Lens. It belongs to
agglomeration of
H?in-Carvin which gathers 14
communes, is 125,000 inhabitants.
Population (1999): 17,891 inhabitants (carvinois) for the commune and 26,626 inhabitants for the canton.
