Britney is the third album by the Americann pop artist Britney Spears. It was released in November 2001 and debuted at number 1 in the Billboard charts. The album has sold over 4 million copies in the United States and over 12 million copies worldwide. Britney is notable for Spears' own increasingly prominent role in the songwriting as well as a greater focus on her own sexuality. Spears worked with producers such as The Neptunes, Rodney Jerkins, Max Martin and others.
