Body-centered cubic

In crystal structure, body-centered cubic is a crystalline configuration with a central atom surrounded by eight peripheral atoms, each occupying a vertex of a cube.

Conversely, a face-centered cubic would have atoms at each of the six faces of a cube.

The study of crystal structure involves the use of trigonometry.
