Bishopsgate

Bishopsgate is a road in the east of the
City of London, running north from
Gracechurch to Norton Folgate. Its named after a gate in the
London Wall that the Romans built around
Londinium to defend it.
It is the site of Liverpool Street station,the notable public house, Dirty Dick's, St. Ethelburga's church, and many offices.
In 1993 it was the site of a Provisional IRA bomb, which killed 2 people and caused ?350,000,000 worth of damage, including the destruction of St Ethelburga's church.
