Antonio Jos?de Sucre (1795-1830) was a South American independence leader, one of Sim? Bol?ar's closest friends.
Antonio Jos?de Sucre was born in Cuman? Venezuela, then part of the Spanish colony of Nueva Granada.
In 1830 he was assasinated in Ecuador.
The city of Sucre in Bolivia was named after him, as well as the Sucre (currency) of Ecuador.
