Ampallang piercing

The ampallang piercing is a relatively extreme type of body piercing. The piercing extends directly through the glans penis horizontally. Compared to other body piercings, the healing period may be longer, from three to six months and more.

The ampallang or "pelang" is said to have originated with the aboriginies of Papua New Guinea.
