Abd Allah ibn Zubayr

Abd Allah az-Zubayr declared himself the Caliph in the Hijaz and consolidated his power by sending a governor to Kufa. Soon, Ibn Zubayr established his power in Iraq, southern Arabia and in the greater part of Syria. (source)
